Maungaraki Baptist Church and Carterton Baptist Church partnered together in 2019 as 'The Village at Carterton' was being established.
The aim of this project is to help 'at risk' youth with 6 cabins providing accomodation and a mentoring programme as well as help with findign employment.
The Village is now thriving with a number of young people having found their feet, obtained a job and become more independent. The Carterton Community is very supportive of this initiative.
